Xiaomi approved at the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) the Smart Speaker Lite speaker that should be launched in March in the Brazilian market, expanding the company’s catalog of audio products. Currently, the Chinese brand sells the Mi Smart Speaker smart speaker in Brazil, a more complete model compared to the Lite variant.
As stated in documents obtained by the AllCellular, Smart Speaker Lite was certified by the regulatory body on January 19, 2023, with DL Comércio, Xiaomi’s legal representative in the country, as the applicant. Images attached to the text reveal the design and construction of the laptop, which must have the following dimensions: 14 cm x 7 cm x 8 cm and 460 grams.
This speaker should bring powerful sound specs and cutting-edge connectivity, such as Bluetooth 5.2 support and Wi-Fi for integration with smart home devices. The highlight, however, is compatibility with streaming apps including Spotify Connect and AirPlay 2.
Apparently, the Chinese brand should make this speaker official in March of this year, but there is still no official information about the Smart Speaker Lite launch forecast in Brazil. In Europe, the device is sold for 39 euros, about R$ 220 in direct conversion – it is unlikely that this is the final price of the product here.
