Original Studios has unveiled The Last Plague: Blight, an authentic survival experience that aims to show realism, immersion and depth. Solve the mystery of a little-known disease and fight threats in a dangerous open world. Players can take their first steps in the rugged wilderness with a new demo available during the Steam Next Fest from February 3rd to 13th.
Pestilence, a devastating disease of unknown origin, has wiped out life as we know it. Escape to the desert seems like the safest option, but how long will it take before Blight reaches the final harbor? The Last Plague: Blight challenges players to find the root of the Blight and end the disease once and for all. The salvation of mankind is not far off, but to achieve it is an unbearable burden.
The Last Plague: Blight offers a comprehensive survival experience with true realism and immersion. Every single action has a purpose and a potential consequence. Cooking, making, or collecting materials take up valuable time. Water must be boiled to be safe to drink, and suitable containers will be required to carry liquids around without spilling them. The raw materials need to be processed before they can create the tools and build the structures needed to survive. One simple slip is enough to turn to total destruction.
Pestilence is one of the many threats and challenges that players must deal with in the procedurally generated world. Wild beasts loom in the shadows, and harsh weather ravages the desert. Players must always be on the alert, maintaining a balanced state of health. Hunger, dehydration, energy, and any injuries inflicted all need to be kept under control in search of a better future.
