Austrian cooling manufacturer Noctua has announced the availability of the NH-L9a-AM5 low-profile CPU cooler. It, as it is easy to understand from the name, is designed for the AMD AM5 platform and is an updated version of the NH-L9a model. Its version for socket AM4 visited our test lab several years ago.
“The newly released 65W Ryzen CPUs are ideal for building small yet powerful systems, and our new NH-L9a-AM5 cooler is great for that,” says Roland Mossig, CEO of Noctua. “It can easily cool the new 7900, 7700 and 7600 at ultra-quiet fan speeds and offers enough headroom if customers want to push their power beyond 65W – in fact we used up to 130W on the Ryzen 7950X and 7900X!”
The Noctua NH-L9a-AM5 cooling system will be available in two colors: regular and all-black chromax.black. Its radiator consists of a nickel-plated copper base, two 6mm heat pipes and a section of aluminum fins, and a 92mm NF-A9x14 HS-PWM fan is responsible for blowing it. The dimensions of the cooler are 114(L) x 92(W) x 37(H) with a weight of 465 grams.
In European stores, the Noctua NH-L9a-AM5 and NH-L9a-AM5 chromax.black cooling systems are available at a recommended price of €49.9 and €59.9, respectively.
