publishing house Microids and french studio Tower Five announced colony research simulator Empire of the Ants. The game is due out on PC and PlayStation in 2024, and its page in Steam already open.
Empire of the Ants is based on the novel by Bernard Werber “Ants”, published in 1991. Microids has already released a game under the same name: Empire of the Ants came out in 2000, and in it the player controlled an ant colony, prioritizing the inhabitants, and in the outside world led the troops and sent ants for resources.
In the new version, we will play the role of the Messiah Ant, who must lead the people from the lost colony, rebuild a new home for them and lead to prosperity, conquering new territories. We are promised a photorealistic world, an exciting adventure and gradually increasing depth and complexity of the gameplay.
Empire of the Ants is being worked on by Tower Five studio, known for its strategic action movie Lornsword Winter Chronicle and an adventure detective Agatha Christie: The ABC Murders. The studio was also creating a Nintendo Switch version of the remake. XIII and released a major update to it.
