Good news for The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners players: There is no need to spend money a second time for the PSVR2 version. PSVR customers can upgrade for free.
Skydance Interactive has announced that „The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners“ will receive a free PSVR2 upgrade for all players who own the title for PSVR.
The announcement was not made by accident this week: the zombie horror adventure is celebrating its third anniversary. The title was initially released for PC and Oculus Rift in January 2020, before other platforms, including PlayStation VR, were supplied over the course of the year.
“To celebrate the anniversary of The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, players who have already purchased the game on PSVR can download the game for free on PSVR2 when it launches on March 21, 2023,” according to Skydance Interactive.
The fact that free upgrades are not a matter of course is made clear the case of “Moss” and “Moss 2”, which must be purchased again for PSVR2. A basic one PlayStation VR 2 does not offer backward compatibility.
Survive in a post-apocalyptic world
The survival video game The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is based on the comic series The Walking Dead and is set in New Orleans after a zombie outbreak. Players take on the role of a survivor named Tourist, who can be male or female depending on preference, trying to survive in a post-apocalyptic world.
Wearing a VR headset, players battle hordes of walkers as the story progresses. They are helped, among other things, by sharp objects that are combined with zombie brains. The protagonist can climb buildings to ambush enemies and attack from a distance with ranged weapons such as bows and firearms.
The Walking Dead Saints & Sinners also features a crafting system that allows players to craft useful items and weapons from materials found in the game world.
