Horde Mode XL and the next-gen upgrade for World War Z: Aftermath arrived today.
The new twist on the classic game mode, available exclusively on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, follows the same rules you know, but in between the standard enemy waves there are special XL waves with over 1,000 hungry, hungry zombies
You and your team must pull out all the stops to survive this overwhelming challenge.
Also today, all World War Z: Aftermath and World War Z players on PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC will receive a free update bringing new mutators to the standard Horde mode Z, an overhauled weapon progression system and two deadly new weapons: the Sai knives and the tri-barrel shotgun.
The Sai Knives are the perfect melee weapons for dealing extra damage to specific zombies, while the three-barreled shotgun shreds zombies at close range and can be upgraded from three to four barrels.
World War Z: Aftermath is available natively today for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S for $39.99. World War Z: Aftermath: Deluxe Edition, which includes two additional melee weapons – the Sledgehammer and Double Cleaver – and the Explorer Weapon Skins Pack is also available for $49.99.
PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners can upgrade to these new versions of the game for free on their respective platforms and experience all the action in 4K|60 FPS on PS5 and Xbox Series X (4K not supported on Xbox Series S).
