It will become more flexible and comfortable.
Microsoft is going to present an updated version of the Explorer program (aka File Explorer) for the Windows 11 operating system in the near future. The relevant information was published by WindowsCentral, whose journalists managed to gain access to the internal layouts of the updated application.
The updated File Explorer will get a more “airy” design, enhanced integration with OneDrive and Microsoft 365 services, as well as many new features. The developers are also going to improve the work of the program with touch screens.
Most of all attention, as you might guess, attracts a new user interface, the design of which will largely echo the appearance of Windows 11. So, search fields, window decoration and almost all buttons will receive an updated design. The toolbar, sidebar and main header will also change.
In the published screenshot, you can notice a section with recommended files that Explorer will display to the user based on his activity. WindowsCentral journalists have made it clear that this will come at the expense of closer integration with Microsoft 365.

The developers also plan to add enhanced photo browsing capabilities and tagging support to File Explorer – as implemented in the Finder application on macOS. An updated program for interacting with files and folders should appear in Windows 11 before the end of 2023, this information was published by journalists from the same edition of WindowsCentral.
