A stage of the prestigious Internationale Springermeeting athletics competitions took place in Cottbus, Germany.
In the high jump, Ukraine was represented by Yaroslava Maguchy and Irina Gerashchenko, and Ukrainian Oleksandr Onufriev participated in the pole vault.
Competitions in the high jump sector ended with the victory of Maguchy, who showed a result of 1.98 m. The second place was taken by Gerashchenko, who fought Yaroslava to the last, but after three attempts she did not take the height of 1.98 m.ї
Maguchy already in the status of the winner to try to take the height of 2.02 m, but did not succeed.
In the pole vault sector, Onufriev failed to overcome a height of 5.50 m and dropped out at the start of the competition.
