There was a lot to see at today’s Developer Direct from Microsoft and Bethesda. Starfield fans, however, went away empty-handed. This is where Bethesda is planning its own show in the future. But now to what was actually presented!
Hi-Fi Rush
Let’s start with Hi-Fi Rush from Tango Gameworks, creators of Evil Within and Ghostwire: Tokyo. A 3rd person platformer and action game with rhythm elements affecting the entire world. Those who keep the beat are rewarded, although it is also emphasized that they are not actively punished for not doing so. Most importantly, Wi-Fi Rush, which takes a completely different direction from the developer’s other titles, is already available in the XBox Gamepass for Xbox Series S/X and PC is now available.
Redfall
Redfall a single player and co-op shooter for up to four players with a vampire theme now has a release date. At the May 2nd of this year, may I defend you against the bloodsuckers. If you want to know what to expect, you can now treat yourself to a 10-minute gameplay trailer. The signature of Arkane Studios (e.g. Deathloop or Dishonored 2) can already be seen there. Redfall will also be available for Gamepass, both for Xbox Series X/S and for PC.
Forza Motorsport
The same applies to Forza Motorsport, which will also be released this year. In contrast to the Forza Horizons series, the focus will be on more realism. In the video, the developers proudly announce that they are taking realism to the extreme with elements such as track temperature, weather and rubber abrasion on the track. In addition, it is said to be the most technically advanced part of the Forza series. In any case, the images shown show a high level of graphic splendor including raytracing reflections.
Minecraft Legends
For all fans of the block building from Mojang Studios there is now the 18. April a release date this year. In the action-strategy mix you have to assert yourself against the piglins and you can even play in a team against humans. Minecraft Legends comes out for pretty much every console: Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and also for PC. Xbox GamePass owners will just have to wait and see, as it’s included here too.
The Elder Scrolls Online – Necrom
Finally, good news for the role players in The Elder Scrolls Online. ESO gets this one Juni Necrom, which takes players back to Morrowind (the location of the third classic Elder Scrolls installment). ZeniMax Online Studios has also announced that starting today, all previous chapters and DLCs will be made available to all base game owners (including Gamepass players). Only High Isle was excluded. So if you don’t have everything yet, you can at least sniff it now. Necrom will be released for PC, Mac, Xbox and Playstation consoles.
