Fans of action-packed horror games with a pinch of puzzle fun are sure to be sitting expectantly in front of the monitor. Because the release of the remake of Dead Space is next Friday, January 27th. In addition to the gameplay, the developers have massively improved the technology of the more than 14-year-old template, not least in order to exploit the performance of the current Xbox Series X and Playstation 5 game consoles, for which the remake is also released in addition to a PC version.

Now the system requirements for the PC version are clear – and could be a shot across the bow for some Dead Space fans who haven’t upgraded in a while. PCGamesN also reports on the requirements, although we also obtained information directly from Steam and discovered another detail that PCGamesN does not mention. Because in the Steam shop, even the minimum required storage space is an SSD, with a SATA interface. An SSD (in M.2 format) with a PCIe connection is recommended. System information: discrepancies
The information is obviously a bit vague, which is very clear in the graphics card recommendations: Nvidia specifies a GTX 1070 as a minimum – but AMD specifies an RX 5700. The RX 5700 is even stronger than a GTX 1080 and performs approximately as much as an AMD RX 6600 or Nvidia RTX 3060, RTX 2060 Super or, and this is where it gets exciting: an RTX 2070.

A few days before the release, Electronic Arts gives concrete information on how to unlock the Dead Space Remake.
The latter is in turn the Nvidia graphics card for the system “recommendation”. AMD’s recommended RX 6700, on the other hand, is as strong as an RTX 2080 Super. The information here is inconsistent, since AMD users require a significantly stronger graphics card than Nvidia users. Is this a mistake, or is Dead Space enormously optimized for Nvidia GPUs? So only practical tests with the remake will show exactly what the requirements look like.
