01/25/2023 at 18:01 by Oliver Jäger – The first players can now download Hogwarts Legacy. The preload is now available for Xbox Series X/S owners if they already own the game. The size of Hogwarts Legacy on Xbox Series X is 77GB, while the download on Xbox Series S requires 50GB.
The week after next, Hogwarts Legacy, one of the most coveted games of the year, will be released. The adventure RPG has long been at the top of Steam wish lists and will be officially released on February 10th, with early access three days earlier on February 7th. Players on current Xbox consoles who have already purchased Hogwarts Legacy online can now download the game. Because the preload has started for Xbox Series X and S, with the download size for the Xbox Series X being 77 GB and for the Xbox Series S 50 GB.
Preload for PS5 will come later, for PC not at all
The base game of the Xbox Series X should actually be 58 GB in size, plus an HD Texture Pack for 18 GB. This was explained by the user “Thebigfudge02” on Reddit. Meanwhile, no preload has arrived for the Playstation 5, this may happen a few days before the official release. There is no preload at all for PC gamers – you need 85 GB of free space on the data carrier. If you want to play Hogwarts Legacy (buy now €79.99) on older consoles or Nintendo Switch, you have to be patient for a few more months. Hogwarts Legacy will be released on April 4, 2023 for Xbox One and Playstation 4, and on July 25, 2023 for Nintendo Switch.

In Hogwarts Legacy, players slip into the role of an ordinary student and experience everyday life in the magic school. Since the game’s action is set in the 19th century, you won’t come across Harry Potter or Lord Voldemort from JK Rowling’s famous novel series. A student’s chores at Hogwarts Legacy include taming magical beasts, brewing potions, mastering spells and broomstick skills. However, the Quidditch known from the Harry Potter novels and films will not be able to be played in Hogwarts Legacy.
