Manchester United defeated Nottingham Forest 3-0 in the first leg of the semi-finals of the English League Cup. The Red Devils newcomer Wout Weghorst scored a goal.
The second leg will take place at Old Trafford on 1 February. Southampton and Newcastle meet in the other semi-final. The first leg ended with Newcastle winning 1-0.
