Quite honestly, right now, after testing a laptop equipped with an OLED screen, it’s extremely difficult to go back to the old IPS LCD screens, however good and reliable they are. An excellent example of a good laptop equipped with an attractive OLED screen is the ZenBook 14 OLEDa powerful, beautiful, and slim machine, of course, is also available at a fair price.
That said, with the massification of OLED, who couldn’t watch the train go by? Samsung of course! The South Korean giant will also launch notebooks with OLED screens, with an incredible resolution, and of course, the ability to reach 120Hz.
Samsung will have laptops with OLED screens at 120Hz!
So, on February 1st, we welcome the new Galaxy S23. But if you thought that Samsung only has smartphones to launch, you are very wrong. We will also see new Galaxy Books, which of course is the manufacturer’s range of laptops.
Unfortunately, we still don’t have the complete specification list, but it seems that Samsung will implement AMOLED panels (OCTA) in its new notebooks, which, in addition to being capable of reaching 120Hz, bring a 3K resolution to the table ( 16:10), as well as touch capabilities. These screens are also 6~11% thinner than the competition or previous generations.
This is important, not only because we are going to see Samsung betting heavily on laptops, but also because it opens the door for more manufacturers to buy this component from the South Korean giant, further expanding OLED in the mobile world. Incidentally, despite the fact that we are still in January, the amount of laptops equipped with OLED screens, or miniLED, has been simply extraordinary.
Now it remains to know the price, and of course, the rest of the specifications.
