01/25/2023 at 12:30 p.m. by Sebastian Glanzer – One could maliciously say that it wouldn’t be WoW: Dragonflight if the new revival catalyst feature didn’t come directly with a bug. Players warn that some items will have their sockets removed when converting items into set pieces via the revive catalyst.
A serious bug in WoW: Dragonflight means that when converting set parts via the revival catalyst, sockets and enchantments are removed from the converted items. That really shouldn’t be happening. Because, as the developers have expressly noted in the FAQ for the revitalization catalyst, items keep their socket locations and tertiary values. “The item that spawns has the same item level as the item you placed in the catalyst. It also retains the Mythic/PvP upgrade paths, tertiary stats (lifesteal, speed, etc.), and sockets,” it says.
Only the values such as speed, mastery and others are fixed depending on the equipment slot. Not all players seem to be affected by this bug. Maybe it’s due to special equipment slots. So if you plan on converting an item with a slot or an expensive enchantment, you might want to wait for the bug to be fixed. Blizzard developers have not yet commented on this bug.
