01/25/2023 at 12:30 p.m. by Sebastian Glanzer – One could maliciously say that it wouldn’t be WoW: Dragonflight if the new revival catalyst feature didn’t come directly with a bug. Players warn that some items will have their sockets removed when converting items into set pieces via the revive catalyst.
A serious bug in WoW: Dragonflight means that when converting set parts via the revival catalyst, sockets and enchantments are removed from the converted items. That really shouldn’t be happening. Because, as the developers have expressly noted in the FAQ for the revitalization catalyst, items keep their socket locations and tertiary values. “The item that spawns has the same item level as the item you placed in the catalyst. It also retains the Mythic/PvP upgrade paths, tertiary stats (lifesteal, speed, etc.), and sockets,” it says.
Only the values such as speed, mastery and others are fixed depending on the equipment slot. Not all players seem to be affected by this bug. Maybe it’s due to special equipment slots. So if you plan on converting an item with a slot or an expensive enchantment, you might want to wait for the bug to be fixed. Blizzard developers have not yet commented on this bug.

Dragonflight spotlighted again by bugs
Since our article Dragonflight is good, but has more bugs than all other expansions, in which we point out some of the most devastating bugs in WoW (buy now): Dragonflight, some large and small bugs have been added again. It was almost to be expected that the new Revitalization Catalyst feature would immediately join Day 1 of its introduction.
As ex-developer Brian Birmingham revealed after his dismissal from Blizzard, both Shadowlands and Dragonflight were released too early due to pressure from senior management. That and the fact that more and more jobs for QA employees at Blizzard have been cut over the years is particularly noticeable in Dragonflight.
