Chris Esaki, Creative Director of Forza Motorsport, Turn 10 Studios announced: “At launch Forza Motorsport will have over 500 real-world cars for you to collect, race and customize with over 800 unique upgrades and modifications. We also deliver the most modern racing cars that we have ever had in our list.”
“In addition to the number of cars, we also improved their appearance by using a spectrophotometer that collects multiple data points of light behavior on a surface. With this new sourcing technique, our paint models have a more realistic light response across colors, metal chipping and gloss levels. The cars now have contextual damage and dirt build-up that is authentic and unique to each vehicle and tends to accumulate more in low-pressure areas such as depressions and niches.”
“Thanks to the advances we’ve made in our physics simulation, which are greater than Forza Motorsport 5, 6, and 7 combined, we’re also creating a more fun and rewarding driving experience.”
“We’ve also partnered with Windows Sonic and Dolby Atmos to create even more realistic audio composition for the next generation of Forza Motorsport. Each audio system has been rebuilt to create an immersive soundscape, offering our players a new level of sonic depth and authenticity. For Forza Motorsport, this is a legacy spanning 20 years of continuous development, and we continue to use the latest technology to enhance our vehicle sounds with the highest fidelity possible. These include improved tire and suspension sounds, as well as exhaust systems and turbochargers that change with modifications to make them sound like their real-world counterparts. New features like our regional track announcer will allow players to hear their in-game experiences like never before.”
“This is just a glimpse of what is to come later this year. We look forward to sharing more details about Forza Motorsport in the coming months.”
