Yes, that’s right, because the quasi-season pass for the online role-playing game doesn’t start until February 1, 2023 (that’s the plan). Many players overlook the relevant notice, but Blizzard’s developers also acknowledge a factor that is causing confusion in the MMO.
On January 25, 2023, WoW: Dragonflight was expanded for the first time with a tangible update, namely WoW Patch 10.0.5. In addition to the return of the Mage Tower on the Broken Isles or the ability to transmogrify white and gray armor and weapon items, the update should also introduce a type of season pass, the Trading Post.
Players of the online role-playing game receive currency every month, the merchant exchanges, with which they can get hold of fancy transmogs, mounts or pets. Furthermore, more of the currency can be earned by completing all sorts of odds and ends, which is why the trading post is often called a battle pass or season pass. The Blizzard developers have published the German patch notes for the WoW hotfixes of January 25, 2023.
WoW: Trading post not there?
The trading post is a feature of WoW (buy now) patch 10.0.5, but it is not yet found in the game. And there’s a simple reason for that, because it won’t be activated until the beginning of the month, i.e. February 1, 2023, which will show you, among other things, the “What’s new in WoW?” splash screen when you log in for the first time after the patch release. For many players, however, the information has been lost. This is less surprising because people just click away this info screen, similar to user agreements, without reading the details.
But there is also another reason that causes confusion, as the Blizzard developers themselves admit in the known bugs of WoW Patch 10.0.5: In the adventure guide, the trading post is shown with an incorrect info tooltip, “the trading post is still there not active.” This is another reason why there are irritations among WoW players. So again, the trading post itself won’t be available in WoW until February 1st, 2023. So, as of January 26, 2023, you have to be patient for about a week.
