The TV series “The Last of Us” not only boosted sales of the underlying game. The production has also appeared on YouTube – but not in Germany.
After the news a few days ago that the TV series “The Last of Us” was able to boost sales of the underlying game and entered the British retail market 238 percent boost was reached, followed today by figures for digital sales.
Like Christopher Dring from Gamesindustry all rolled into one Tweet writes, they ensured that sales of “The Last of Us” in the UK market even increased by 305 percent week-on-week. This led to the title going to number eleven on the charts.
“The Last of Us Remastered” was also able to grow properly. Here the boost is given as 337 percent, which helped the PS4 title to 16th place.

The series “The Last of Us” started almost two weeks ago on HBO and in this country on Sky and WOW. So while previously a subscription was required to watch Ellie and Joel do on another format, SkyTV and HBO started making the first episode available to non-subscribers unlock on Youtube (UK). – but not in Germany at first.
This means that viewers will have to settle for the English language version of “The Last of Us” for the time being and also face the challenge of finding a solution for the region lock.
