GAMEFINITYID, Bekasi – The release of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is likely to be delayed again. This makes not only JRR Tolkien fans, but gamers who are also Tolkien fans may be disappointed. The game developed by Daedalic was originally planned to launch in 2021.
The game has faced several setbacks, with most recently its launch in September 2022 being delayed by “a few months”, but there have been very few updates since then. As Eurogamer reports, in Nacon’s latest earnings report, the publisher revealed that they now expect Gollum to be released between April and September this year, or the first half of 2023 to 2024 to use business jargon.

What is the reason for The Lord of the Rings: Gollum’s delayed release?
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum was delayed to ensure the “best experience” according to Daedalic. “Over the last few years, the team has worked hard to share our vision of an extraordinary story, set in a wondrous world, full of wonder and wonder,” Daedalic shared in a statement announcing the news.
While in the screenshots, the game looks visually spectacular. However, there are several important things that must be addressed from The Lord of The Rings: Gollum. Gollum seems to be heavily inspired by the movement and parkour of the Assassin’s Creed games. While there were a few glitches in the making, this was naturally the case in a game that was still under development.
It would seem that the project The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is a difficult project as a whole. Creating a game that’s largely based on stealth, without so much emphasis on the combat itself is difficult, but there are also limits to what Daedalic can do wisely because Middle-earth Enterprises has a say in what can and can’t be included (the skill tree for Gollum must be banished, for example).
