Shortly after the release of the PlayStation 5 version of “World War Z: Aftermath”, owners of the PlayStation 4 version complained that the free upgrade to the PS5 version could not be claimed. A problem that the developers of Saber Interactive are already investigating.
Update: The developers have now been able to locate and fix the error. in one Tweet It says accordingly: “The issue with the free upgrade of World War Z: Aftermath from PS4 to PS5 has been resolved. Update your copy now!”
Notification from January 25, 2023: Yesterday, the developers of Saber Interactive released the cooperative zombie shooter “World War Z: Aftermath” in a technically revamped version for the current generation of consoles.
As stated in the official announcement of the remastered version, owners of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox versions will be offered the opportunity to upgrade their copies to the respective current-gen version for free. Shortly after the release of “World War Z: Aftermath” for the PlayStation 5, however, it became apparent that numerous players could not take advantage of the free PS5 upgrade.
Those responsible at Saber Interactive pointed out via Twitter that the problem is already being investigated. However, it was not confirmed when a solution to the technical error can be expected.
