Therefore, there is either the possibility of a reboot with new actors or the film adaptation of the play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. If that were to happen, one of the three main actors would be willing to return in his role. This is despite criticizing Harry Potter author JK Rowling for her anti-trans comments in the past.

Bestselling author JK Rowling has been making transphobic statements since 2018. The creator of Harry Potter and the Wizarding World publicly positions herself against the self-determination of trans people and in this context even spoke of a danger for women, which she believes emanates from trans women.
