The domestic company “Avtonomika” has developed an unmanned electric street cleaning machine called “Pixel”. According to online sources, the car will soon be tested on the streets of Moscow, but in the future, the manufacturer intends to organize the supply of “Pixels” abroad.

“A fully autonomous unmanned cleaning robot was created for silent and high-quality cleaning of landscape gardening and other areas. Replaceable attachments will ensure the maintenance of a clean and comfortable urban environment, regardless of the weather, time of day, season, or free hands, ”the Pixel description on the manufacturer’s website says.
For orientation in space, the cleaning robot uses computer vision technology based on an AI module and a sensor system on stereo cameras, lidars and radars. The design uses an electric drive, and the battery life is 16 hours. According to the source, the degree of localization of “Pixel” is close to 100%. This means that almost all parts of the robot are developed in Russia. It is noted that some parts of the “Pixel” are supplied from the Republic of Belarus.
The technical partner of Avtonomika within the framework of this project was the company Mercator Holding, which works in the field of road and communal services. The manufacturer plans to produce robotic cleaners on its own. At the initial stage, 15 Pixels will be tested on the streets of Moscow. It is noted that other countries, such as the United Arab Emirates, are already showing interest in the development.
