Sony Horizon is currently building up a brand bit by bit. After all, in the future we should not only expect a VR offshoot, a Netflix series or a new single-player title about Aloy, but also a stylized multiplayer title. Guerrilla Games recently searched for new staff for the development of the upcoming Horizon games on Twitter. Now more than 10 minutes of video material has appeared on Reddit, which is causing a stir in view of the announcements so far. So far, neither Sony nor Guerrilla Games have commented on this leak.
What does the leak show?
You can see numerous characters, which can be distinguished from one another by various stylized features. Insider Gaming compares the colorful art style of the scenes to multiplayer titles like Fortnite or Pixar movies. Both the characters and the world are stylistically more reminiscent of the Epic game or animated films than any of the previous Horizon titles.
Although the footage features fighting enemies and exploring the environment, the title is in a very early state at the time of recording. According to the leaker who shared the footage on Reddit, the scenes are from the alpha version of Horizon: Forbidden West (buy now $49.99). We have already reported on the Alpha leak on our website. How meaningful the material is given that the Forbidden West leaked alpha is said to be from 2020 is another question entirely. It should also be mentioned that, in addition to the video material, concept art for the multiplayer has also allegedly appeared.

With Horizon: Call of the Mountain, a VR offshoot of the series for Playstation 5 will be released on February 22. In addition, Burning Shores is a DLC for Forbidden West on the program in April. We have already reported extensively on both the VR title and the upcoming expansion.
