Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world game, but the people of Night City are hardly any different. Add to that the fact that you can’t interact with them at all, and much of the city can seem static and repetitive. But now a new mod solves exactly this problem, even if you have to pay for it.
Immersive City, by the author of tduality, makes Night City and its inhabitants much more alive. With it, civilians and enemies will appear with different levels of HP and strength, which will allow some of them to finally enter the battle and get a few hits. All NPCs are also programmed to carry their loot, giving you a real reason to commit crimes rather than boredom. But since NPCs all over the city are getting upgrades, you’ll have to be careful who you mess with.
The goal of Immersive City is simple: “Plunder civilians, run away from the police, meet more dangerous enemies.” After installing these changes, according to tduality, you will be able to move around Night City as a gangster, as if playing a futuristic GTA.
Fans seem to love the mod, and since it hit the Nexus last week it has been downloaded over 2,000 times. Some players are even asking for extra features like the ability to capture shopkeepers and loot everything in their cash register, so this mod is definitely worth keeping an eye on.
