Despite a long absence of news about an anime from Netflix based on the Tomb Raider game series, it is still in production.
Anime writer/producer Tasha Ho made the announcement amid news of the upcoming Tomb Raider movie and TV series from Amazon:
There was a lot of great news yesterday regarding the Tomb Raider franchise. And yes: we are still working on the anime. Its animation takes a long time, but the wait will be worth it!
Until today, there hasn’t been any news about the anime since last fall, and some fans of the series have begun to worry about its possible cancellation. So if you are one of those fans, you can breathe easy.
An anime based on Tomb Raider was announced last year. According to its creators, it will take place between the events of Shadow of the Tomb Raider and the future part of the series.
