English midfielder Anthony Gordon moved from Everton to Newcastle, signing a multi-year contract with the Magpies.
Newcastle have reportedly paid £40m plus bonuses for the transfer.
Gordon is a graduate of Everton. He was a teammate for the Ukrainian Vitaly Mikolenkodefender of “taffy”.
Anthony Gordon: “I’m sure Newcastle is right for me. The fans and the city are great here. The club is moving in the right direction. This is a really big step. I want to be successful here.”
The 21-year-old winger has made 18 appearances and scored 3 goals this season across all competitions.
Everton recently sacked head coach Frank Lampard as the team ended up in the relegation zone in 19th place.
Newcastle are third in the Premier League standings and are fighting for the Champions League.
