Being one of the very few states with a developed aircraft industry, including a military one, France is theoretically capable of transferring its military aircraft to Ukraine. The corresponding topic was touched upon by journalists at a press conference of French President Emmanuel Macron in The Hague, to which the head of the French state responded as evasively as possible with a hint of unwillingness to provide Ukraine with weapons of this kind.

According to Macron, theoretically nothing is prohibited, but in making such decisions, France will be guided by three criteria. Firstly, according to Macron, this is the direct usefulness of the transferred weapons for Ukraine – for example, in terms of the time required to train the crews.
Secondly, weapons should be supplied based on the idea of protecting Ukraine and preventing escalation. The transferred weapons, says Macron, should not be used to strike on Russian territory.
