Audi has officially announced the acquisition of a small stake in the Sauber Formula 1 team. It is known that the German manufacturer has already begun preparations for the start in F-1 from the 2026 season.
Audi will compete in Formula 1 based on Sauber. Sauber is currently racing in F1 under the name Alfa Romeo, but the 2023 season will be the last for the Italian team.
It is expected that Audi will not only have its own team, but is also going to produce its own engines, but will continue to use Ferrari engines until 2026.
