The long-awaited and many times postponed game Dead Island 2 should be released on April 28, 2023, if the developers bring it to release without new date shifts. The project was first announced back in 2014, after which it changed hands between different studios, and soon players will be able to immerse themselves in it.
The developers of Dead Island 2 shared some interesting information about the development of the characters in the game. According to them, they decided to abandon the classic role-playing model of character development – when there are skill branches for which players can allocate points, improving one or another component, gaining new abilities. Dead Island 2 will have a map system that will allow players to change character abilities at any given time. Here is how the authors describe an example of a rapid change in abilities:

The authors note that such a system of skills in Dead Island 2 gives room for imagination, while not all skills fit perfectly with each other.
