French football club Marseille officially announced the signing of the Moroccan midfielder Azzedine Unai.
Unai moved to Marseille from Angers. The transfer amount is 10 million euros, including bonuses. The agreement runs until 2027. Unai will play under the 8th number.
Azzedine Unai became famous after the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, where he, along with the Moroccan team, reached the semi-finals. Literally immediately after the end of the World Cup, the British media wrote that Leicester, West Ham and Wolverhampton were ready to sign the Moroccan midfielder in January.
Azzedine has made 15 appearances in Ligue 1 this season, but hasn’t scored. In Marseille, Azzedine will play with Ukrainian Ruslan Malinovsky.
