Good news for the fans of “The Intruder”: the third season will start filming very soon. This was announced by one of the main stars of the series, Sarah Tomko, who shared on social networks a photo of the cast and crew of the series, including the lead actor Alan Tudyk. In a caption to the post, Tomko said that filming for the third season of the acclaimed show from SYFY will begin today, Monday, January 30, 2023.
Spaceman, based on the Dark Horse comic book series of the same name, was created for television by Chris Sheridan. In the series, Tudyk stars as an alien who lands on Earth on a mission to destroy all of humanity. To help him on his mission, the alien takes the form of a doctor named Harry Vanderspiegel. However, over time, the protagonist of the series begins to think about the morality of destroying an entire civilization, and by the time the second season is released, Tudyk’s hero begins to protect the Earth from his own race, which came to destroy the Earth after he failed.
The first season of the series premiered in 2021 and received high ratings, a large number of viewers and positive reviews from critics for ten episodes. The second season was expanded to 16 episodes and was nominated for Best Cable Comedy Series at the Hollywood Critics Association TV Awards and received its first nomination at the Saturn Awards. Spaceman was renewed for a third season after the first part of the second season was another hit, but the second half of the season was not so well received by critics, and now the series SYFY is facing the prospect of a shortened eight-episode third season.
