In a new PlayStation commercial, we get short snippets of exclusive titles like Gran Turismo 7, God of War Ragnarök and Horizon Forbidden West. The sequence for “Marvel’s Spider-Man 2”, which we reported on recently, also appears. However, one of the games cannot be assigned to a known title, which is why fans are speculating wildly.
So at 43 seconds we see a woman with a torch in hand approaching an artifact. Shortly thereafter, for a split second, she blows dust from the same object. One theory says that the woman could be Cassie, Nathan Drake’s daughter, and that what she saw teased nothing less than “Uncharted 5”.
If this proves true, we can assume that the potential title will not be developed by Naughty Dog. Speaking to Buzzfeed, Neil Druckmann said the studio is “moving on” from the franchise. However, a rumor that emerged in 2018 says that a then-new team within Sony San Diego could be working on the “Uncharted” franchise.
