According to what was stated in a leaked conversation with modder Lance McDonald as the protagonist, FromSoftware is working on a large portion of the Elden Ring DLC. There have often been rumors of an open-world RPG expansion, but the only expansion to date has been the opening of a PvP-dedicated Colosseum.
Meanwhile, the Japanese developer company continues to remain silent on the existence or absence of a major expansion for the game, but while digging into the depths of the Elden Ring SteamDB page, users have noticed something very interesting: the Playtest section was first updated a few hours ago after being inactive in within 3 months. Previously, this time was updated before the release of the update that added the Colosseum.
Some users on Reddit have stated that they’re pretty sure there’s something specific behind this, as FromSoftware usually uses these channels when there’s big news for their games, be it expansion rumors or new features that will soon need to be integrated with Steam.
Hints are starting to pile up, however at this point we can’t do anything but speculate while waiting for a possible announcement from FromSoftware.
