Have you ever imagined a situation where E3, which was a mecca of new game announcements and worldwide gamer hype a few years ago, could lose its relevance? The COVID-19 pandemic situation which has prevented him from holding physical events for at least the last 4 years has contributed to this unfortunate situation. Despite news of how he will eventually be laid off for good, E3 continues to express a commitment to return with their physical events, especially in 2023. But instead of happiness, new bad news hit.
Following in the footsteps of Sony, which withdrew earlier, two other giant gaming companies – Nintendo and Microsoft will reportedly also leave E3 2023. This means they will not attend or offer any booths there. This information itself comes from the giant gaming site – IGN, which reportedly heard about this from several sources of information that can be trusted. Microsoft’s absence at E3 certainly came as a surprise, not only due to the fact that Xbox is part of the ESA board but also that so many releases in 2023 need a lot of hype. Microsoft has not yet spoken about whether they will have a replacement event or not.
Triumvirate – Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo reportedly will not be present at E3 2023.
ESA as the organizer of the E3 event itself has not yet spoken about the information released by IGN and adapted by many other gaming sites. Will this end up making E3 end up really “dead”? Let’s wait.
