Following the spread of rumors related to the possible absence of Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft from E3 2023, the management of theESA (Entertainment Software Association)the organizer of the gaming event, has published a statement.
In the note, delivered to the USA editorial staff of IGN, the organizers of the Los Angeles fair report the following:
“As you probably noticed, IGN ran an E3-related article last night. Albeit we are not in a position to comment on specific statements done in the piece, we wanted to confirm our commitment to the evolution of E3.
E3 has an amazing history within our industry, and we are constantly moved by the passion people show for the show. Bringing back a trade show after a three-year hiatus and a global pandemic was a complex operation right from the start, which is why we conducted an extensive research to identify the best partner with which to produce E3. In choosing ReedPOP as a partner, we have found a place in its tradition of organizing large events, from PAX to Comic Con.
They did great progress in reshaping the event and they received one tremendous support from industry companies of all sizeswho are not only making plans for E3 2023, but are also committing to 2024 and beyond. […] We will share E3 news and updates as they become available.”
At the moment, therefore, the issue of participation or otherwise of the three major hardware manufacturers has not been addressed. Looking forward to discover the plans of Sony e NintendoHowever, we know that Microsoft has a big summer event planned.
