The release calendar for the month of March continues to thin out. After learning of the postponement of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, today we are forced to metabolize too the postponement of Amnesia: The Bunker.
Through their social channels, the Swedish developers of Frictional Games have communicated the decision of postpone the release of Amnesia: The Bunker by about two monthswhich therefore will no longer be released in March but the 16 maggio 2023. We welcome the announcement of the postponement with a bit of surprise, since the game was announced a short time ago, more precisely at the beginning of December 2022, but apparently the developers have had to face some unexpected problems.
“The team here at Frictional Games have had a tough winter with a slew of diseases that have compromised the development,” they wrote on Twitter. “We are a small team and things like that impact heavily on production. So it’s important for us to do the game justice we prefer not to rush. The team is working hard to make the best version of Amnesia: The Bunker and a few more weeks will make a much needed difference.
In light of these issues, we can only welcome the decision to push back the release date for Amnesia: The Bunker, which like any other game in development deserves all the attention it can get. The appointment with the claustrophobic horror atmospheres of the First World War bunker is therefore postponed to Tuesday 16 May 2023 on the previously announced platforms, i.e. PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S e PCcomplete with an immediate launch in the Game Pass catalog.
