Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is high on the list of the most anticipated games of 2023. Unfortunately, we have to wait a little longer – the March date has burst.
If you have Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on your most wanted list, you have to be very strong now. The long-awaited action role-playing game has been postponed. Initially planned for March 17th, the game slipped back by around six weeks and will now only be released on April 28th.
Game Director Stig Asmussen from Respawn confirms that the game is complete in terms of content, that the game is on the home stretch and that the main focus is on bug fixing and polishing, but more time is needed: “For the team to reach the Respawn quality bar, for the team to reach the to provide the time and polish our fans deserve, we’ve extended our release schedule by six crucial weeks – Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will now be released worldwide on April 28th.”
The postponement comes as a bit of a surprise, because the original March date was only announced at the Game Awards in December. The announcement of the postponement came via Twitter during the night.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is the sequel to the hugely successful Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and will be released for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S – one more reason why there is so much excitement, as it is one of the still right rare title that appears exclusively on the new generation of consoles. The game continues the story of Cal Kestis and is also intended to continue the main game principles, but with a broader Metroidvania approach.
