Players are experimenting with the inclusion of Resizable BAR technology for direct access to video card memory in the Dead Space remake. The DSOGaming site did a little comparison and showed the impressive acceleration that this technology provides in the game.
By default, this feature is disabled. But it can be forced through the Nvidia Inspector. After running the utility, you need to create a profile for Dead Space Remake and change the Resizable BAR status to Enabled.
Tests were performed on a PC with an Intel Core i9-9900K with 16GB DDR4 memory at 3800MHz and a GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card. Windows 10 operating system and GeForce 528.24 driver. On this configuration, playing at 4K with Resizable BAR shows a 25% higher frame rate than without Resizable BAR. An impressive result, especially compared to other games where Resizable BAR provides only a few additional performance percentages.
An even more impressive result was shown by one of the Reddit users. In his case, on a PC with an Intel Core i7-9700 and GeForce RTX 4080, Resizable BAR accelerates it by more than 30% in 3440×1440 mode with maximum settings.
Resizable BAR is available for Nvidia GeForce RTX 30 and GeForce RTX 40 series graphics cards. The technology is officially supported on 10th Gen Core processors and above, but it can also be enabled on some Z390 boards in combination with 9th Gen Core processors.
