You should stop when it’s most beautiful. While Dave Bautista has no intention of giving up acting, he definitely wants to retire as a superhero. He confirms this to talk show host and entertainer Jimmy Fallon and gives reasons for his departure from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

It had long been clear that Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 would be the end. Dave Bautista officially retires from the Marvel Cinematic Universe after another appearance as Drax the Destroyer. For other cast members, leaving the MCU would mean the end of their Hollywood career. However, Dave Bautista has reason to hope that this will not be the case in his case.
The 54-year-old American has also been able to establish himself in Hollywood apart from the Avengers in recent years. For example, he appeared in Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner 2049 (2017) and impressed with a strong acting performance. Also in Dune (2021) he knew how to convince with an impressive performance. Dave Bautista manages to captivate film fans not only with his outward appearance. His skills as an actor are now beyond any doubt.

Dave Bautista has his biggest speaking role to date in director M. Night Shyamalan’s (The Sixth Sense) Knock At The Cabin. In order to properly promote the blockbuster, which will very likely replace Avatar 2 at the top of the US cinema charts, the actor is currently toting around America’s talk shows. When he recently guested with Jimmy Fallon, he opened up about his departure from Marvel. “It’s going to be tough, but it’s the perfect time to stop”
