The baseball simulation “MLB The Show 23” will also receive a Collector’s Edition. This year, New York Yankees legend Derek Jeter has taken the cover.
After revealing the cover athlete and release date for MLB The Show 23 earlier this week, Sony Interactive Entertainment and San Diego Studio also present the Collector’s Edition, which celebrates a baseball legend each year.
This time it’s all about the Captain. Legendary New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter, who has himself appeared in films such as ‘The Cops’ in the past, will be featured on the cover of the Collector’s Edition. Jeter has won five Silver Slugger Awards, 14 All-Star nominations, a World Series MVP trophy and five World Series titles in his career.
In the heyday of the New York Yankees, Jeter earned the nickname “Mr. November” for consistently performing in the most important games of the season. So it’s not surprising that he was also inducted into the Hall of Fame.
And his announcement for MLB The Show 23 also means he’s returning to the game as a Legend and will be getting a card or two in Diamond Dynasty in the future. But enough about the legend. Let’s get to the editions!
