February 2nd, 2023 at 3:41 p.m. by Jusuf Hatic – So now it is: A gameplay reveal for the survival MMO The Day Before is to take place on February 2nd on the official YouTube channel. Meanwhile, opaque communication from the developer studio Fntastic continues to cause irritation.
The confusion surrounding the announced survival MMO The Day Before goes into the next round. After the game was temporarily removed from the Steam gaming platform and even the basic existence of The Day Before was questioned, the next reversal follows. The developer studio Fntastic wants to upload a gameplay reveal to YouTube today, which should show ten-minute video material about the game.
However, this was not communicated in the classic way via the official social media channels of the game or the studio, but via a message in Discord. The announcement was made by the moderator “Levitate”, who promises the new material for February 2nd on Fntastic’s official YouTube channel – however, a placeholder cannot yet be discovered on the day of the reveal, so it was initially unclear when The Day Before actually wants to come up with new content.
At least there was an official confirmation to the PCGamer portal: As a result, a Fntastic employee made it clear that the reveal should actually take place and should be expected at 7 p.m. German time. However, it remains unclear whether the video material shown is also a new insight. Accordingly, it is also unclear whether today’s presentation is about the gameplay material promised in January 2023. As Discord Mod Levitate explains, the studio will leave the answer to this question open until the reveal and “leave it to the imagination”.
