Now no one can be surprised by the pictures generated by artificial intelligence. Is it possible to go further and film a TV show this way? The watchmeforever channel on Twitch gives an affirmative answer: it broadcasts a non-stop stream of “Nothing, Forever”, generated based on the sitcom “Seinfeld” by the AI of the same name. The original series by Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David has been on TV since 1989.
Content created by Seinfeld AI is more of a proof-of-concept than a finished product. Pixel animation, doubling and unnatural poses of characters, not always coherent or meaningful dialogues (created using GPT-3 from OpenAI) are not exactly conducive to long viewing, but allow you to evaluate the opportunity. You can get acquainted with the creation of AI at the link, registration in Twitch is not required.
The characters are rendered using 3D 3D pixels, and the show as a whole looks like an old video game. The voices are also generated by artificial intelligence. They bear some resemblance to the voices of the original actors, but are more reminiscent of a computer reader.

Although the show is strikingly different from the original full-fledged series, its influence is quite palpable. Some plots contain references to real series and beat their themes in their own way. If you believe the rumors, sometimes there are really interesting and funny episodes (they are very short, lasting a few minutes).
“Our guiding principle is… can we create a show that will generate entertainment content forever? Because that’s really where we see the future. Our goal in the next iterations, or the next shows we release, is to commercialize a show that’s on par with Netflix.”
The Mismatch Media group behind the creation of AI and the series describes itself as “scientists, entrepreneurs, engineers and technologists”. There is little information, the names of the creators are unknown.
However, the authors are rather pessimistic about the generated content. The broadcast description reads: “Nothing, Forever is a show about nothing that goes on forever. Kind of like the popular sitcoms of the past, except it never ends.” The channel promises to work 365 days a year and generate new content “every minute”. The show is quite popular, right at this moment 8162 viewers are watching it, the local chat does not stop.
