Video game adaptations aren’t always bad. HBO’s series “The Last of Us” recently proved this, but “Detective Pikachu” was also well received by fans. The studio had announced a sequel. Nothing has been heard of it since then, but there is still a glimmer of hope.
For Legendary Entertainment, “Detective Pikachu” was a complete success – a sequel was announced. However, it is uncertain what the project will look like. In an interview with IGN, lead actor Justice Smith was more cautious:
“I think we just have to kind of bury our hopes. I don’t think it’s going to happen.”
However, according to a recent report from Polygon, the return of the cute “Pokémon” is not off the table just yet. A spokesman for the studio has confirmed that the sequel is currently in “active development”. So now it’s time to wait.
