After the Monster Hunter Rise hack, the hacker EMPRESS traditionally posted a big message in which she turned to Capcom, the creators of Denuvo and all the players. She announced that she was moving into a new “phase” and would no longer hack games for six months or a year. She will put aside most of her personal projects and focus on hacking the biggest releases of the year, and as proof, hacking Hogwarts Legacy in just 10 days.
This year there will be a large number of major releases from studios that have chickened out and decided to shove the cancerous Denuvo into their games. So I decided that I was moving into a whole new phase. I’m not going to mess around with hacks for 6 months or a year anymore.
EMPRESS also wrote a message to Warner Bros saying they were wasting their money on defense.
I also have a special message for “Warner Bitches”: I recommend that you don’t include Denuvo in your upcoming game. It’s at the top of my list right now, and protecting it with Denuvo will only waste your money and resources because I’ll hack it within 10 days and still everyone will play it for free.
At the end of the message, EPRESS again urged everyone not to buy games with protection, but to wait for its hacks after the release, because Denuvo is the cancer of the gaming industry.
