Is there really hope for Wonder Woman 3? As part of the complete realignment of the DCU, towards the end of last year there were several consistent reports about the end of the third adventure with Gal Gadot as Amazon Diana. After that there were always vague hints, but there were no real signs of life from the superhero film. But not all hope seems to be lost.
Is Gal Gadot a part of the new DCU?
James Gunn, one of the two new DCU bosses, recently spoke out via Instagram. In the comments on a post about Creature Commandos, he responded to the questions and suggestions of some of his followers. Among other things, the future of Gal Gadot in the newly built DCU was also discussed. In response to a fan’s outraged reproach, he replied that Gadot was by no means fired. This statement, taken on its own, could be interpreted in many ways. However, in another tweet, James Gunn confirmed that he had only met and spoken to the actress a few weeks ago.
So there is much to suggest that Gal Gadot will also be on board with the redesigned DCU. It is therefore possible that she will return in her role as Diana, i.e. as Wonder Woman. However, then probably not based on the script that was originally submitted for Wonder Woman 3 and ultimately rejected.
