game world
4 large explorable areas that represent different seasons. The main central city is called Minato. There are also other places that are currently kept under wraps.
Monsters of Kemono
Over 20+ at launch in addition to other fauna such as deer and rabbits. More will be added after launch. Sometimes Kemonos will fight each other. – high-ranking versions of ordinary monsters. However, you can return to the previous state of the world on the map at any time if you want to fight the early Kemonos again. Smaller Kemonos can be caught as pets and receive special rewards for them in the Karakuri enclosures that you can build for them. You can pet rabbits.
Endgame
After completing the campaign, a new type of Kemono will appear in the world – Volatile. These monsters are of increased difficulty and come with a few surprises. Details will be announced soon.
Post-release content and monetization
All post-release content will be added free of charge. There are no plans for microtransactions.
Trial version
EA Play subscribers will be able to check out the 10-hour trial starting February 13th (one week prior to release). It contains only one starting zone.
Graphics modes
On the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles, players will have two graphics modes available: 4K/30FPS and 1080p/60FPS.
Co-op and offline mode
Players who join in co-op can interact with your Karakuri (hunting aid devices) and create their own. Only the owner of the world has the ability to destroy the created Karakuri. The difficulty will dynamically change depending on the number of hunters. You can play completely alone in offline mode, by pausing the game.Full cross-play between consoles and PC.During the game, you can put a mark so that other people can find you.Cross-progression is not supported at the moment.Currently, there are no plans to create in-game clans / guilds.
Customization and Companions
Tsukumo are small celestial Karakuri creatures that you can take with you as companions. In single player, tsukumos can be chosen to follow you. You can also upgrade them so that they can support you in hunting in various ways. In the first zone 50 total tsukumos. Basically, it’s a Monster Hunter palico with its own abilities and skills. Unique Karakuri can be unlocked and crafted in the city, allowing you to change your appearance after character creation.
Weapon
There are currently 8 weapons in the game. According to the developers, they are well balanced.
Armor
You can mix and match pieces of armor. You can create decorations and add them to your armor to give it extra personality. There is currently no separate women’s armor.
Combat system
There are status and disease effects such as light poisoning, poison poisoning, ice slowing, etc. The effects can be applied to both hunters and Kemonos. which corresponds to Kemono’s elemental weakness. The bladed wagasa is seen as a parry weapon suitable for tanking. Healing and buffs are built into Karakuri’s devices and power systems. You can have equipment that allows you to support the group with healing, defensive buffs, and shields. animation that completes the hunt.
