The head of Microsoft Gaming Phil Spencer did not stand aside and also commented on the release of Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition on Xbox consoles. According to him, the developers “did a great job” with the controls in the game. According to Spencer, the gamepad controls “feel very familiar, but also very new.”
