February 3rd, 2023 at 1:41 p.m. by Jusuf Hatic – As announced at short notice, the survival MMO The Day Before has put a ten-minute gameplay trailer online. Instead of a “world of pure hype”, however, there is mainly disillusionment with the material shown.
Undeterred by the confusion of the past few weeks, the developer studio Fntastic has uploaded the gameplay reveal for the survival MMO The Day Before announced for February 2nd to YouTube. For the ten-minute showcase, the studio promised a trailer “that shouldn’t be missed” – but the reactions to the material shown are mixed at best.

Instead of the respectable RTX trailer from last year, Fntastic showed a rather aimless and little action-packed wandering in the open game world of The Day Before in the current gameplay trailer. There are also individual impressions of the crafting menu and the modification of weapons; sporadically a zombie is shot at. Basically, the survival MMO still looks extremely unfinished – at least from this point of view, the most recent release postponement of The Day Before to November 10, 2023 is not surprising.
The comments on the gameplay reveal of The Day Before are correspondingly critical. The game world looks “even more dead than the zombies”, which is what the game is supposed to be about. As a result, The Day Before seems more like a “jogging simulator” and not like the promised survival adventure. The developer studio Fntastic has not yet responded to the criticism.
