Dragon Age Dreadwolf was announced in December 2018 and the information received from the BioWare team working on the fourth chapter of the role-playing game with a medieval fantasy setting has always been few, enveloping the project in a fog of total confidentiality.
One of the latest updates on the title was released by BioWare itself in October 2022, stating that Dragon Age Dreadwolf was out of its alpha phasebut that it was still far from the end of the work, moreover the fourth chapter of the series will not force you to have to know the history of the previous three chaptersmore or less as happened with “Mass Effect Andromeda”, the fourth chapter of the sci-fi role-playing game also by BioWare.
However, now, the well-known insider Tom Henderson thinks about spreading new information on the possible features of the new Dragon Agethrough the pages of Insider-Gaming, where referring to what was claimed in the 2021 report by Jason Schreier, according to which Dreadwolf would have no multiplayer components in favor of a purely single player storyaccording to some Henderson sources the game would still retain traces of that component, being compared to “Destiny”, with the presence of a central Hub which would have served at the time to organize the experience for multiplayer missions.
The character recruitment and upgrade system will remain faithful to what was seen in the previous chapters of the sagaand these should populate the central hub above, while iThe combat system will sink heavily from the one seen in Final Fantasy 15with the possibility of being able to control a single character and give orders to all the other members of the party, but without actually being able to take control of the latter.
Apparently Dragon Age Dreadwolf would already be playable from start to finish, but still far from its release as it lacks several lines of dialogue and many other texts, according to Henderson’s sources. There have been no rumors about the potential release date from the sources but the insider himself hypothesizes in the face of the information collected, for a launch window not before 2024.
Obviously all of this information needs to be taken with a grain of saltas there are no official confirmations on the matter, however it seems that we will still have to wait quite a while before getting our hands on the fourth chapter of BioWare’s gripping fantasy saga.
And what do you think, are you waiting for Dragon Age Dreadwolf? Let us know, as always, in the comments.
