The last few years and months have produced numerous spin-offs from the Star Wars universe in the form of Disney Plus series. The third season of The Mandalorian is currently due to be released in March. On the other hand, it has become relatively quiet around a sequel to the major Star Wars main films. In a new interview with Daisy Ridley, she opened up about a possible return to her role as Rey Skywalker.
Daisy Ridley on Rey Skywalker’s possible return
There have been rumors for a long time that a new series of Star Was films is in the works, which should tie in with the events of the sequel trilogy. The last three parts are still heavily debated, especially the way Episode 9 – The Rise of Skywalker ended the saga is still criticized by many fans.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Daisy Ridley opened up about rumors of her possibly returning as Rey Skywalker. “Honestly, I have no idea. I feel like Rey’s story ended in a beautiful way with the last film,” admits the Brit.
“It’s been an incredible three years since the film came out. I kind of feel like a different person. We’ve all been through massive changes in the last three years and a lot of crazy things have happened. I don’t know if, personally there are plans. I just don’t know,” she concludes.

Of course, we don’t know if Ridley is just feigning ignorance or actually groping in the dark. However, it’s still debatable how big her role in a new film would actually be.
