A few days ago it became known that the game CrossfireX will be completely closed already this year – May 18th. The developers reported that they could not bring the project to the level they wanted, so it was decided to close the game. At the same time, from May 18, it will be impossible to play not only CrossfireX multiplayer, but also single-player campaigns.
Players on social networks are actively criticizing the developers of CrossfireX for the decision not only to close the project’s multiplayer, but also to exclude the possibility of going through story campaigns after that. According to the developers themselves, they are ready to return money to players for campaigns in CrossfireX, but only if they were purchased within the last 2 weeks. Whereas many players purchased CrossfireX campaigns at release, or almost immediately after. Some players note that they will no longer buy games from this developer due to the decision to close access to story campaigns after the server shutdown, others are asking for a patch or some kind of refund.
Recall that the CrossfireX story campaigns were developed by Remedy. There are two of them in the game, one of them is available in Game Pass (but will be removed from the subscription in mid-February). The game CrossfireX itself, as well as two story campaigns for it, are Xbox exclusives – they have not been released on other platforms.
